Make Your Vote Count

My name is Sue Grabowski, and I'm running for State Representative in Ohio's 48th District. I'm asking for your vote in the the Republican Primary on May 5, 2026.

The Values We All Share

Apart from variations in style and approach, myself and the other candidates in the Republican Primary are largely in agreement regarding the issues of greatest concern to our citizens, especially when our precious Constitutional rights are under ceaseless assault from increasingly unhinged leftists:

  • Free speech
  • Freedom of religion
  • The right to bear arms
  • The right to life
  • Commitment to our veterans
  • Excellence in education
  • Unwavering support for law enforcement
  • Lower taxes
  • Smaller government

Vital Distinctions

So, as candidates, when we agree on so much, what distinguishes us from one another?  How can a primary voter best choose who will carry the Republican banner into the 2026 general election?  Is there a clear determinant, and if so, what is it?

There is: proven skills.

The indisputable advantage that I will bring to Columbus as the Republican nominee is the skillset I've acquired and employed throughout my hard-won business experience: three decades of continuous success as a woman business-founder-and-owner in the beating industrial heart of our great country: Stark County, Ohio!

Tradition of Toughness

The ability to advance and succeed in the face of determined opposition counts for far more than political rhetoric; it's the difference between winning and losing when things get tough.

I'm pretty well known in our community, and nearly anyone who knows me can tell you: I'm a scrappy gal that thrives on competition and opportunity—especially when the wins aren't easy. (Of course, if you ask people that don't LIKE me, they tend to use different words...)

Throughout my early life—whether attending GlenOak High School, graduating from Malone University, raising three young children, or running a startup out of my garage—I lived according to the Godly upbringing of two excellent parents and a dynamic and diverse squadron of older siblings.

In the span of my considerable career since those early days, I've asked for—and received—no special treatment regarding who or what I am: a WWII-veteran mechanic's daughter who rose from cleaning grease in her Dad's shop to running a company internationally renowned—from Hartville to Dubai—for its expertise in commercial, interdepartmental, and crisis communications.  George Doerschuk, my father and a widely admired member of the community, set my feet firmly on this path at a young age, patiently instilling in me the fearlessness required to hold my own "come what may"—the same principles with which I've raised my own children:

  • No crying.
  • No quitting.
  • Everybody crashes—it doesn't make you special. (Google: "Yamahopper" and "mercurachrome" for context)
  • Winners get back in the saddle and keep racing.

(Factoid: "Come what may" was one of George's favorite philosophies, and I now have golf balls imprinted with that phrase. Because, the way I play golf? Yeah, I spend a lot of time on the course making the best of bad situations.)

Action Not Words

Consequently, within our field of four Republican candidates, I am unrivalled in my public track record of...

  • No-holds-barred Business Experience
  • Institutional Trust
  • Conflict Resolution and Persuasion
  • Relationship Brokering
  • Consensus Building
  • High-stakes Communication

I'm asking for your vote and your support in the upcoming Republican Primary for a chance to bring these valuable real-world skills to bear on the issues that will have the greatest impact on our faith, our families, and our finances.

Thank you, and may God bless the State of Ohio and these great United States of America.
